Bilaterus is the final alien to be encountered in the game (if not counting Cyrax). He can be a more dangerous foe than Psychosquid if not handled correctly. You have to defeat both heads in order to beat Bilaterus. As if that's not enough, he has a larger range. Any part of its body can eat your fishes, both heads and the spine.

The skulls can be each bought in the Virtual Tank for 10,000 shells.

Anatomy

Bilaterus is actually two skulls, one round and one "pointed", connected by 4 bones, making it its spine.

Story

Hardcore Bilaterus fans often argue over which head is superior. Judy K from Minnesota writes in: "Obviously the pointy head is the brains of the operation. The round head is just an overrated Christmas ornament." Bob J from Alabama counters: "No way. Roundy is the MAN! Pointy is just along for the ride." Whoa, easy there, you two. This is one controversy that won't be settled today!

Strategies

General

This is a very dangerous enemy, as he is a two-headed skeletal alien snake. Don't attack the other head that isn't moving, because it will deal no damage. Only attack the moving head as it will only deal damage to this alien. Once one has destroyed the first head, the other one will start moving. You must kill it quickly, as the bones can kill an unlimited number of fish.

Challenge Mode

In Challenge Mode, you must defeat this enemy, regarding of the countless numbers. These troublesome aliens will almost empty your tank if not prepared. You must have a fully-upgraded laser gun to prevent this from happening.

Trivia

  • Fans argue about which head is dominant.
  • Bilaterus can be seen in VT but the heads are seen at seperate times.
  • One of it's head looks like the head bone of the Pterodactyl, and the other one looks like an ancient fish head bone.
  • In Insaniquarium Deluxe The Revenge Of The Fish, Bilaterus' round head takes Vert's place.
  • When you kill it, the parts that are connecting them go everywhere in the tank and disappear.
  • He is sometimes known to be easier sometimes.
  • Bilaterus switches his attacking head ocassionally.
