Carnivores are the second kind of fish to be encountered in Adventure Mode. A carnivore eats small guppies, and is food for ultravores. It drops diamonds worth $200 in Adventure Mode, Time Trial Mode and Challenge Mode, and costs $1,000.
Virtual Tank
In Virtual Tank, a carnivore drops blue shells worth 5 shells. There are several types of carnivores sold in The Fish Emporium.
Normal Carnivore
A normal carnivore is sold every day in The Fish Emporium. It costs 100 Shells.
Colored Carnivore
Colored carnivores are sold every day for 1,000 Shells. There are a variety of colors which changes everyday.
Rainbow Carnivore
A Rainbow Carnivore is an uncommon fish. Compared to a Colored Carnivore, a Rainbow Carnivore changes its color constantly. It is sold for 2,500 Shells.
Johnny V
Johnny V is a rare, pre-named Carnivore. Instead of eating small guppies, it eats pizza, a kind of exotic food. It is sold for 50,000 Shells.
Ludwig
Ludwig is a rare, pre-named carnivore. Upon being feed, he will sing songs which are composed by Ludwig Beethoven. He is sold for 50,000 Shells.
Trivia
- It resembles a piranha in visual appearance. If it is assumed that it is actually a piranha, this puts the game at 1/13th scale, which means that most aliens are around three feet long.
- The Carnivore is sometimes known as "Oscar".
- If you use Gumbo in your tank, the Carnivore will not follow him.
- A carnivore and a guppycruncher are the only fishes which makes a similar sound when they die.
- In the virtual tank, carnivores can have 14 possible color combinations. If you have the Fishinator 2, this is further increased to 4,722,366,482,869,645,213,696 (2^72).
