Gumbo, the Anglerfish, lures guppies to the farthest point away from an alien in your tank by using his luring headlight. Only guppies and breeders will follow him. Carnivores and Ultravores will not follow him. The good part of luring is when he leads all guppies to the corner, the bad part being when the alien reaches gumbo's corner, making them all an easy target (Gumbo will move immediatly when a guppy is eaten). In the final boss fight with Cyrax, his headlight flashes just like when he lures guppies, though the effect on fellow pets is deactivated for the whole battle.
Trivia
- Some people actually think Gumbo is a female, as a male anglerfish cannot have a headlight and cannot be this size. Despite this, its very unlikely that the creators of Insaniquarium would descripe him as a male, then say that he is a female.
- His story says that some people think he is on the aliens side, however, he explains that he hates aliens because they had shown him no mercy in tank 5.
