Stinky the Snail is the first pet you will ever get. He is a green snail with a brown shell and atennas that roams around on the bottom of your tank. He always heads towards the nearest coin, which he will collect for you. Sometimes he misses coins of the drop distance, but this is the difference. He will join Clyde with you, if aliens appear, Clyde is still alive but Stinky isn't. It must've been in Virtual Tank Mode, if you are using the Screen-Saver Trick to collect coins.
Involvement
Stinky is a snail on the bottom of the tank, he roams around and collects coins. He hides in his shell when an alien appears, making him temporarily unavailable if there are still coins in the area. He will go after any coin/crystal in the area even if he is to slow. Stinky will never stop trying to get the coins! He is actually more helpful than Clyde, the jellyfish in most times.

STINKY knew from the early age that he was different from the other snail. He had the fever. The money fever. He was all about collecting money. But why does STINKY need with all that money? STINKY answers,"It impresses the ladies."

- Stinky the Snail is the first pet you ever get, and one of the most useful in Tank 1, Tank 2, and Virtual Tank Mode.
- Stinky is also in the game Plants vs Zombies collecting money, but he can't be used underwater.[1]
- Stinky the Snail is also featured in the loading screen.
- Anti-Stinky, Stinky's arch-rival, first appeares in Insaniquarium! Deluxe Revenge Of the Fish. He is very powerful.
- If you do not let Stinky get money for a while and there are lots of fish in VT, he will turn red unless he collects some money.
- His story is the first of thirty-three.
